The ability to nourish people amid unprecedented population growth of close to 10 billion by 2050 with escalating climate concerns takes center stage at the United Nations Food Systems Summit (UNFSS) on Sept. 23. 

Kaukauna, a brand of Chicago-based Bel Brands USA, says it added two limited-edition cheese ball varieties for the fall and holiday seasons.

For the second consecutive year, Tillamook County Creamery Association (TCCA), Tillamook, Ore., announced its All For Farmers initiative to help support farmers facing financial hardship across the country. 

Truly Grass Fed, a Dublin-based dairy brand of Glanbia Ireland, said it joined 1% for the Planet, and will donate 1% of its annual revenue to Slow Food USA, a nonprofit dedicated to transforming how people produce, consume and enjoy food. 

Marin French Cheese Co., Petaluma, Calif., says it introduced Golden Gate — the first in its new line of handcrafted premium cheeses.

“Dedicated to Sustainability, Service and Creating the World’s Finest Handmade Cheese.” As mission statements go, that one is a pretty tall order.

The International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA) said it is seeking nominations for three awards presented annually to leaders in the dairy industry: the IDFA Laureate Award, the 2022 Innovative Dairy Farmer of the Year Award and the IDFA Food Safety Leadership Award.
