Retail ice cream sales might not have being eating fire this year, but they certainly have been on fire. Over the 52 weeks ending Sept. 6, 2020, dollar sales in the ice cream subcategory of the larger ice cream/sherbet category were up 13.4% (to $6,841.8 million).
NMPF said the program has delivered approximately $1 billion worth of dairy products to needy Americans since spring.

Wallaby Organic, an Australian-inspired premium yogurt brand from White Plains, N.Y.- and Broomfield, Colo.-based Danone North America, said it partnered with four Australian-inspired restaurants across the United States to bring to life “Walla-Be an Aussie,” a program to provide the restaurants with funds to support recovery efforts during the global pandemic.
A year ago, we were not concerned about sanitizing everything we touch. COVID-19 has since changed the world. The emphasis is on social distancing, hand washing, and cleaning and sanitizing any type of potential contact surface.
The cooperative launches program to help community food banks secure much-needed refrigeration and keep them stocked with milk.

We all talk about dairy demand as if we know what we're talking about. If you are trying to sell cheese to an importer in Mexico and you sell them 10% more than you did last year, is that good demand? What if you had to cut your price in half from last year to make that sale? Is that still good demand?
