Several fun and fruity flavors of ice cream, either newly introduced or yet to be released, captured the attention of judges at the International Dairy Foods Association's (IDFA) annual Innovative Ice Cream Flavor Competition.
I came to the National Milk Producers Federation (NMPF) just over three years ago to focus on the environmental issues, as well as the challenges and opportunities, that exist for the nation’s milk producers. One opportunity that caught my attention early on was water quality trading (WQT). To this day, I am still enamored with the concept.
It's an $8,000 idea from a student team at Clemson University.

The Dairy Research Institute challenged college students nationwide to develop a dairy-based beverage that provides tangible innovation opportunities for the dairy industry and aligns with beverage growth areas. The top three teams were honored at the American Dairy Science Association (ADSA) Annual meeting in Phoenix.
