Dairy Farmers of America (DFA), a Kansas City, Kan.-based dairy cooperative owned by family farmers, announced a continued step forward in its commitment to sustainability, as it becomes the first U.S. dairy cooperative to set a science-based target to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.

Saputo Cheese USA Inc., Lincolnshire, Ill., said its Treasure Cave and Frigo Cheese brands removed their carton sleeves, moved to direct printing and added instructions on the cups to inform consumers about proper disposal for their deli cup packaging sold in retail.

As part of their ongoing commitment to sustainability, Osaka, Japan-based Fuji Oil Holdings and its Chicago-based subsidiary Blommer Chocolate Co. said they launched two global initiatives that address the most significant social issues faced by the cocoa industry.
The nonprofit innovation center established by Danone North America will award up to $90,000 to four selected teams.
