Trader’s Point Creamery, Zionsville, Ind., introduced single-serve yogurts in grab-and-go glass containers. The organic, gluten-free, 100% grassfed yogurt is minimally processed and unhomogenized. The yogurt is said to be high in omega-3s and CLAs, and includes probiotics. The European-style yogurt comes in plain, low-fat vanilla, banana mango, wildberry and raspberry flavors. It’s sold in 5-ounce containers at the suggested retail price of $1.49.
Also released in the special glass containers are new milk shots, available in whole milk and chocolate milk. The milk is sold in 5-ounce containers for a suggested retail price of $1.25.
The recyclable glass containers will not leach toxins and can reduce build up in landfills, according to the company. The yogurts and milk are currently sold at Hubbard and Cravens Coffee chains and Earth Fare Groceries, and can be found in some natural food markets and high end grocery stores.
