Maola Local Dairies, a brand of the Reston, Va.-based Maryland & Virginia Milk Producers Cooperative, said it donated more than 45,000 half-pints of chocolate and 1% white milk last week to three Virginia food banks.

As the world continue to address the very real implications of the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, Kraft Heinz Co., co-headquartered in Chicago and Pittsburgh, said it committed to donating $12 million globally to ensure people across the globe have the food they need during this challenging time.
The dairy association also will reveal a revamped website on March 19.

Due to the dynamic nature of information related to coronavirus, the Washington, D.C.-based International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA) said it created a webpage to provide members with the most recent updates pertaining to guidance and resources for the dairy industry.
The annual conference and trade show now will be held Oct. 19-22.

BNP Media, organizer of the Food Safety Summit, said that in response to the serious outbreak of the coronavirus, it has postponed the summit, originally scheduled for May 4-7, 2020, to Oct. 19-22, 2020.
The event will now occur April 6-8, 2021, at the Wisconsin Center in Milwaukee.

The Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association (WCMA) and the Center for Dairy Research said that that the 2020 CheeseExpo, which was set to occur on April 14-16 at the Wisconsin Center in Milwaukee, has been postponed until April 6-8, 2021.
After careful consideration, the American Dairy Products Institute (ADPI) and the American Butter Institute (AB) made the decision to postpone and reschedule the ADPI/ABI Joint Annual Conference originally slated for April 26-28, 2020.
