Irish dairy cooperative Ornua said it completed the acquisition of U.S. cheese ingredients business Whitehall Specialties Inc., Whitehall, Wis., for an undisclosed sum from Mason Wells, a private equity firm based in Milwaukee.
The Art, Science and Technology Research and Applications Center enables the company to innovate and identify sustainable solutions for its customers.

(CDI), Visalia, Calif., said Secretary of the California Department of Food and Agriculture Karen Ross and other state and local officials joined the cooperative on Sept. 29 for a groundbreaking ceremony in Kern County, Calif., at the future site of CDI’s new ultra-high temperature and extended shelf-life milk processing facility.
