MDS Foods’ goals were to increase the production line’s capacity and profitability as well as give the company the capability to bring more product categories, predominately packaging smaller chunks of cheese, into its facility.
MDS Foods and Ossid collaborated on developing an automated system to replace the manual operation.
In less than one year the engineering team delivered the first complete packaging production line to Chobani’s new yogurt plant in Idaho.

Hundreds of blue recycling bins are heading to New Zealand's South Island to be delivered to schools joining the Fonterra Milk for Schools program.
Almost 3,000 recycling bins have been made so far by New Zealand manufacturer SULO Talbot, which is providing discounted bins made of up to 60% recycled milk bottles for Fonterra’s nationwide school milk program.
Tetra Pak packages with bio-based polymer caps derived from sugar cane grew to 610 million in 2012. Nestlé and Coca-Cola are among the first companies to use these packages in South America.
