Barbara O’Brien, president of the checkoff-funded Innovation Center for U.S. Dairy, said fluid milk “is now at a crossroads” following four decades of declining sales.
“There are solutions,” O’Brien said. “But we need the will and commitment (of the industry) to carry them out.”

Camel's milk has been so popular at Café2Go, a coffee shop chain in Dubai, that Emirati entrepreneur Jassim Al Bastaki has created the Camellos brand to promote it to a wider audience.

According to Nancy Clark, MS, RD, internationally-known board certified specialist in sports dietetics and author of "Nancy Clark’s Sports Nutrition Guidebook," flavored milk has what it takes to help athletes recover: carbohydrate to refuel muscles, high quality protein to build and repair muscles, water to replace fluid losses, sodium for fluid absorption and retention, and calcium for bone health.
It's an $8,000 idea from a student team at Clemson University.
