Dairy Management Inc. (DMI), the Rosemont, Ill.-based dairy checkoff program that drives trust and sales of dairy products on behalf of America’s 31,000 dairy farm families and importers, announced that Tom Gallagher decided to conclude his 30-year tenure as CEO to devote more time to teaching and other opportunities.
The organization conducted various dairy-focused educational outreach efforts with key thought leaders who have a shared interest in the outcomes the summit can potentially have on a more nutritious and sustainable future for the world.

Across the globe, 400 million children consume a meal at school daily. These meals provide more than just good nutrition; in many underdeveloped countries, school lunch is an incentive for children to attend school.

The dairy checkoff is positioning the farmer-founded Fuel Up to Play 60 program in a fresh way to help students and educators navigate the school year, said Dairy Management Inc. (DMI), which manages the dairy checkoff.
The event is specifically designed to help dairy industry participants learn the key concepts involved in managing price risk and volatility in the dairy commodity markets.

The Add Milk! pilot project, created in the 2018 USDA farm bill, is designed to research whether incentive programs for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) will increase the consumption of healthy fluid milk among SNAP recipients, according to The Baylor Collaborative on Hunger and Poverty (Baylor University).
The company said the acquisition of these businesses will better position the company for capturing the growing demand for aseptic protein beverages and nutritional snacks.
