Almond Milk American Slices are sustainably crafted using a formulation of plant-based lactic acid, almond milk, and protein.

Forager Project unveiled several new dairy-free products at Natural Products Expo West, including a  new Honey Alternative Cashewmilk Yogurt and new 4-pack sizes of its cashewmilk pouches in Strawberry and Berry Berry.

The expansion includes dairy-free yogurt alternatives, non-dairy cheese alternatives and non-dairy frozen desserts to support a balanced, plant-forward diet at an accessible price, the company stated.

Mwah! is led by co-founders Damian Piedrahita, CEO, and Claudia Comini, Director of Operations, who both spent decades pushing boundaries in the hospitality industry. 

By combining traditional cheesemaking methods with modern technology, Daiya is making a plant-based cheese with similar characteristics to dairy-based products, the company claims.

Silk is hoping to inspire the next generation of milk drinkers and plant-based enthusiasts.

"Labeling of Plant-based Milk Alternatives and Voluntary Nutrient Statements: Guidance for Industry," recommends that a plant-based milk alternative product include a voluntary nutrient statement that conveys how the product compares with milk based on the USDA Food and Nutrition Service fluid milk substitutes nutrient criteria. 

The products use animal-free whey protein created through precision fermentation, a revolutionary and sustainable process that offers complete dairy protein, and the taste and texture of traditional dairy, without involving any animals, the company states.

Winners will receive an exclusive Babybel heart-shaped box of plant-based cheese, in addition to other first-time essentials: A set of wine glasses, cheese snacking board, two matching ultra-soft robes, and a cozy blanket.
