One dollar from every sale of Redwood Coast cheese through the end of May will be donated to charitable organizations that help support front-line health care workers.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Rumiano Cheese Co., Willows, Calif., said it launched three new Redwood Coast cheeses to help support front-line health care workers in California.
Saputo Cheese USA Inc., Lincolnshire, Ill., launched Stella Fontinella rubbed wedges in four flavors: Basil Pesto, Harissa, Bourbonista and Black Pepper.
With more than two-thirds of households purchasing flavored cheese and over 283 million pounds sold in 2016 alone, there is no denying that this category is generating a lot of interest. In fact, nearly 300 new flavored cheese products were added to the market last year, flaunting flavors such as jalapeño, smoked, herb, pimento, taco, berry, alcohol, bacon, citrus and coffee.
Cheese consumption continues to rise in the United States with the most recent data showing that on average, each American consumes a little over 35 pounds of cheese each year – an all-time high, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
