CLOSURES AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT SERVICES
Optimized closure application and performance in automated lines is directly related to thoughtful consideration and preparation between the packaging components applied and the automated capping machinery employed. Bericap has made it a priority to establish technical support services in all the geographic regions it serves globally. The company’s service groups are not only familiar with the packaging materials and what is needed to assemble components at speed, but technicians also are knowledgeable about the various capping processes and OEM providers. The expertise of preparing capping equipment is a complimentary service that comes with the purchase of Bericap closures.

DAIRY FILLERS WITH ESL OPTIONS
Fogg Filler designs and manufactures rotary filling, rinsing, capping, sorting, and sanitizing equipment for flowable liquids. Main hurdles in the dairy industry are possible flavor change, foaming, splashing, and spillage. However, the company has created equipment with advanced technology to overcome these common problems with ease. 3A-certified design, special dairy valves, de-foaming systems, and pointed, periodic, cleaning sprays all work together – all with the touch of a button. It also offers Extended Shelf Life (ESL) options to keep dairy products looking and tasting great longer than ever before. With rinsers, machine guarding, cap sanitizers, foam management systems, automated trough, and special CIP functions, product quality is maintained for the best possible shelf life.

AUTOMATIC FILLING AND PACKAGING
HART Design & Manufacturing now offers equipment optimized for customers getting started in the market: the HCC-25 for cream cheese and HPC-25 for process cheese models produce filled, sealed packages (pouches in cartons) at rates up to 25ppm. A modern system with touchscreen controls, the HCC/HPC-25 automatically produces pouches from roll stock, precisely fills, seals, and discharges packages. Designed to CE/USDA standards, the sanitary equipment features easy “plug-and-play” setup with minimal maintenance. Customers can achieve accurate results with the HCC/HPC-25 or one of the company’s high-speed filling and packaging lines.

FULL LIGHT BLOCKING FOR DAIRY BOTTLES
While clear PET is optimal for recyclability and circularity, colored and opaque PET typically do not go back into producing bottles. Opaque rPET is used for fibers and strapping. Husky’s co-injection technology enables opaque rPET to be mixed with a colorant and injected back into white dairy bottles. Using opaque rPET provides significant cost savings and is more sustainable, as it reduces the use of virgin resin. To avoid the need for excessive titanium dioxide colorant loading, or expensive and non-recyclable sleeves, a black core layer provides full light blocking required for shelf-stable dairy products.

PROCESSING SHELF-STABLE BOTTLES
The newest generation of the Krones Contipure AseptBloc features a streamlined design with improved efficiency and a reduced footprint while providing a 100% sterile aseptic environment to process both low- and high-acid shelf-stable beverages. A simplified central ventilation system is employed as opposed to multiple individual units. The blow molder removes defective primary packaging materials without breaking sterility. The AseptBloc also can be equipped with automatic mold change via robotic system. The Contipure AseptBloc is a full system that includes preform and cap inspectors and sterilizers, aseptic blow molder, filler, and capper. It was designed to provide customers with the highest product safety, efficiency, and reliability.

NEWLY DESIGNED FILLER
After more than 25 years of production in the school milk industry, the Pactiv Evergreen N-8 is retiring, and the company is now offering the newly designed N-200 model. The N-200 was developed based on input from filler operators, service technicians, and engineering staff. Features include Allen Bradley servos that decrease maintenance needs and offer improved performance, an upgrade in controls to Allen Bradley Control Logix and Guardlogix technology, and a redesigned machine enclosure that allows full visibility and easier access. An optional self-contained CIP system increases sanitation and quality control, and optional auto sanitizing and HEPA filters provide a more sanitary machine. Its auto-lubrication system reduces maintenance and promotes longer life of the component.
