Yuengling’s Ice Cream Corp., Orwigsburg, Pa., said it signed a binding letter of intent to acquire Atlanta-based Revolution Desserts LLC. Revolution Desserts owns or licenses the Gelato Fiasco, Sweet Scoops, Art Cream and SoCo Creamery brands.

Gelato Fiasco is a premium gelato brand with two stores, Yuengling’s said, and is available in more than 600 retail locations. Sweet Scoops, a brand covering all-natural frozen yogurts, is sold in Whole Foods Market, Roche Bros. and approximately 100 independent stores. Art Cream, an organic artisan ice cream brand with unique and often unconventional parings, is currently sold in Mom’s Organic Market and other natural/organic retailers. SoCo Creamery is an all-natural super-premium ice cream, gelato and sorbet brand distributed from Maryland to Maine in stores such as Whole Foods Market, Roche Bros., Big Y, Stop & Shop other select retailers, as well as four Sysco distribution centers.
