Horizon Organic, a brand of Danone North America — headquartered in White Plains, N.Y., and Broomfield, Colo. — said it is launching Horizon Summer Camp, a virtual summer camp that “opens up the barn doors” to bring families a behind-the-scenes look at farm life.
Each week, Danone North America’s HOPE Scholars (a group of outstanding college students pursuing degrees in agriculture) will host fun activities — for example, milking a cow and demonstrating creative ways to upcycle milk cartons — on the brand's YouTube channel, Horizon Organic said. Camp officially kicks off on July 10, and campers may tune in throughout the summer. There will be activity guides, tips and tricks rolling out weekly to ensure kids have exciting and educational activities throughout the summer months.
Horizon Summer Camp is a part of Horizon Organic’s larger Next Frontier Project, an effort that builds on Horizon Organic’s 30-year legacy of advancing the organic industry, supporting family farmers and respecting the environment to provide the best dairy products possible.
