Two brands of Danone North America, based in White Plains, N.Y., and Broomfield, Colo., launched promotions designed to celebrate moms during a Mother’s Day that will take place amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The Horizon Organic brand said it is partnering with Noodles & Company to celebrate moms this Mother’s Day with free delivery from any Noodles & Co. location on May 10. Noodles & Co fans may order on their app or website with promo code “HORIZON.”
Horizon Organic said the partnership is one of Danone North America’s initiatives to support its operators and customers amid the COVID-19 pandemic, knowing that businesses and families are facing challenges but still want the comfort of their favorite foods.
Meanwhile, Danone North America’s Activia brand said it is partnering with Bachelor alum Jade Roper for an Instagram giveaway, gifting more than $22,000 to moms across the country to cover their next round of groceries. Starting on Sunday, May 10 and continuing through May 14, Activia will be honoring 150 moms by giving away 30 $150 gift cards a day for moms to use toward their next round of groceries.
Activia said consumers may nominate moms by following @Activiaus on Instagram and tagging a nominee in the comments. The brand will select 150 winners at random.
“Mother’s Day is way different this year, and as a family with two kiddos, we’re overloaded — juggling working from home, all while trying to stay healthy and keep our kids happy,” Roper said. “So when Activia approached me to spread the news that they wanted to contribute more than $20,000 to help moms with groceries this year, I had to say yes! I’ve been a fan of the brand for years, as the OG powerhouse in gut health, and now balancing motherhood, my career, and health, Activia really offers me an easy and delicious step towards taking care of myself!”
