Tillamook County Creamery Association said it will be marking National Cheddar Day on Feb. 13 with recipe collaborations and live demos with Bon Appétit’s Brad Leone, showing consumers, via social media, how they can upgrade breakfast, lunch and dinner with Tillamook cheese. Participants are invited to take part in some fun Tillamook activities, as well as share their celebrations using #NationalCheddarDay and @Tillamook (@TillamookDairy on Twitter).
The Tillamook, Ore.-based cooperative said it's upping the ante from its inaugural celebration last year, with 2 tons of cheesy giveaways. Cheddar lovers in Atlanta, Baltimore, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Tampa and Washington, D.C., will have the chance to receive the Ultimate Cheddar Pack, delivered to their doors for free.
Consumers may enter by tagging #NationalCheddarDay and #giveaway on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
In addition, Tillamook announced the launch of TILLAMAPS, the nation’s first-ever Tillamook heat map. Consumers may use it to find Tillamook anytime, anyplace at grocery stores or restaurants.
