Attendees to the International Dairy-Deli-Bakery Association’s (IDDBA) IDDBA 19 will have the opportunity to grow personally and professionally by attending the show’s General Session presentations. The event will be held June 2-4 at the Orlando Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla., Madison, Wis.-based IDDBA said.
A sampling of the speakers and their sessions include:

Ryan previously served as the senior brand strategist of Amazon.com, IDDBA noted, overseeing the corporate brand and advertising strategies for the Prime, Echo and several retail brands. Prior to working for Amazon, he was a director of strategy and innovation at General Mills.
Ryan’s experiences include early exploration, brand innovation and go-to-market strategies for the launch of the Yoplait brand in Greater China, redesigning the retail and in-shop experience for Häagen-Dazs across Europe and Asia, and leading U.S. new product development innovation efforts on the Pillsbury, Cheerios and Annie’s brands. He is an expert in the front end of innovation, specializing in deep ethnography, strategic mapping, consumer Jobs development, design thinking and new product ideation, IDDBA said. Ryan will deliver an insights-filled look at how dairy, deli, and bakery will be impacted by the evolving face of “new retail.”
Christina Tosi, CEO and founder, Milk Bar, “Inside the Mind of a Sugar Genius.” Milk Bar was called “one of the most exciting bakeries in the country” by Bon Appétit magazine. Tosi founded the dessert programs at Momofuku and went on to build a culinary empire of her own.

The culinary trendsetter and sugar genius is a two-time James Beard award winner, a Crain’s New York 40 under 40 honoree and the author of two highly acclaimed cookbooks. Attendees will learn how to think outside of the box when it comes to desserts with Christina Tosi.
