Mooala, a Dallas-based maker of organic dairy-free beverages, added to its Bananamilk line of dairy-alternative beverages with the introduction of Mooala Strawberry Bananamilk — the first strawberry-flavored dairy-free milk alternative in the marketplace. Crafted from real fruit and roasted sunflower seeds, the nut-free vegan beverage is said to feature about as much potassium as a small banana while providing an excellent source of calcium and a good source of vitamin C in every serving. The product retails in 48-ounce bottles. An 8-ounce serving of the beverage has 70 calories, 3.5 grams of fat, 5 grams of sugar and 1 gram of protein. The product has a suggested retail price of $5.99 and hit the refrigerated aisle at select Whole Foods and Albertsons-Safeway stores in October. Additional retailers are slated to add the new beverage in late 2018 or early 2019.
