Brooklyn, N.Y.-based Five Acre Farms launched its chocolate milk at the Summer Fancy Food Show in New York City in July. The milk is available in half-gallon and 12-ounces sizes.
An 8-ounce serving has 210 calories, 9 grams of fat, 28 grams of sugar and 9 grams of protein. Five Acre Farms' chocolate milk is made with whole milk, premium cocoa, pure vanilla and sugar. The company said the milk is never ultra-pasteurized and contains no high-fructose corn syrup.
It’s sold for a suggested retail price of $2.29-$2.49 for the 12-ounce and $4.99-$5.49 for half-gallon. Five Acre Farms chocolate milk is sold only in the New York metro region at this time. It will be available at all Fairways and Morton Williams stores in September, the company said.
