Lipari Foods, a Warren, Mich.-based food distributor, said it acquired the cheese cutting and packaging business of Jim’s Cheese LLC, Waterloo, Wis.

Jim's Cheese is known for its large selection of specialty, aged and cut-out cheeses and has been supplying Wisconsin cheese since 1955.

Lipari Foods said the acquisition will expand its product offerings and manufacturing capabilities. Jim’s Cheese will operate under the JLM Manufacturing division of Lipari Foods.

“We are excited to team up with an established, service-driven company like Jim’s Cheese,” said Spiro Liras, vice president of manufacturing for JLM Manufacturing. “Adding their capabilities to all that Lipari and JLM offer means increased value for all of our customers.”
