Horizon, a brand of WhiteWave Foods, Broomfield Colo., released two new milk products this year — an organic chocolate Protein Plus dairy beverage and organic lactose-free Vitamin-D milk.
The organic chocolate Protein Plus contains 15 grams of protein, 230 calories, 0.5 grams of fat and 37 grams of sugar in a 10-ounce serving. That’s 50% more protein than regular milk, according to the company. This USDA-certified organic protein-packed drink comes in a single-serve bottle, for a convenient, on-the-go option. It has a suggested retail price of $2.99.
The organic lactose-free Vitamin D milk is USDA-certified organic and available in half-gallons. An 8-ounce serving contains 150 calories, 8 grams of fat, 11 grams of sugar and 8 grams of protein. It has a suggested retail price of $5.29.
Both milks are available in stores nationwide.
