Nutricopia, Montpelier, Vt., launched Brio, a frozen dairy dessert the company calls “Nourishing Indulgence.” The non-GMO frozen dessert comes in five flavors, including mellow dark chocolate, vanilla caramel and strawberry. A 4-ounce serving of vanilla contains 160 to 170 calories, 7 grams of fat, 18 grams of sugar and 6 grams of protein. It is low-glycemic and rich in antioxidants (vitamins A, C, E and selenium), according to the company. It’s also free of artificial flavors, sweeteners or colors. The dessert is available nationwide and sold in 4-ounce single-serve cups for $1.99 and 14-ounce containers for a suggested retail price of $4.29 to $5.99.
