PDC International released the R-Series cup-and-tub shrink labeling system, built to apply shrink-sleeve labels to tapered or conical containers such as dairy or beverage cups. Shrink-sleeve labeling provides high-quality and gloss graphics, which are not typically obtained by offset printing. Speed ranges up to 300 cups per minute. The labeler can handle a range of round, oval and square tubs, while maintaining side-to-side graphic orientation. Cups are fed upside down into the sleeve applicator’s product handling section, eliminating product backlog or shingling.
