On March 22, FDA provided a notice of a stay of the effectiveness of certain provisions of a final rule published in the Federal Register of June 11, 2021 (“Petition for an Administrative Stay of Action: Milk and Cream; Definitions and Standards of Identity for Yogurt, Lowfat Yogurt, and Nonfat Yogurt”).
In mid-December, the U.S. Senate presided over the confirmation hearing of Dr. Robert Califf, President Biden’s nominee to serve as commissioner of FDA.
