This is the 18th year IDFA has sponsored the Dairy Industry Safety Recognition Award program, highlighting the outstanding workplace safety achievements of U.S. dairy companies.
Dairy processing facilities are complex and sprawling sites featuring modern engineering and technology. At the heart of any dairy plant is a team of dedicated employees working hard to instill a safety culture that permeates every aspect of the business and ensures compliance with regulations from the Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
The International Dairy Foods Association, Washington, D.C., named 144 dairy operations to receive IDFA Dairy Industry Safety Recognition Awards and Achievement Certificates this year. This is the eighth year that IDFA has sponsored the program, which highlights the outstanding worker-safety records of U.S. dairy companies.
