FSI report for the week beginning Oct. 1, 10, 2011
General Mills' Yoplait and Dannon show their support of Breast Cancer Awareness month, celebrated in October, in this week's free-standing inserts.
FSIs for Yoplait appear in with other General Mills brands. The yogurt brand encourages shoppers to redeem on-pack pink lids by mail or online in the "Save Lids To Save Lives" campaign. Elsewhere, Yoplait touts the protein content of its Greek yogurt, instructs consumers to "snack the fun way" with its Splitz, GoGurt and other SKUs geared towards children, and promotes its new light formula sold with granola.
Meanwhile, Dannon asks shoppers to "Discover Great Taste For A Great Cause!" The marketer pledges at least $500,000 and up to $1.5 million to the National Breast Cancer Foundation when consumers enter on-pack codes online at cupsofhome.com. When readers use a smartphone to scan a QR code, they are linked to the website. In some markets, Safeway's Dominick's stores offer $1 savings to shoppers using their loyalty cards.
In other FSI activity this week:
