Ingredion will continue to distribute SweeGen’s stevia sweeteners

SweeGen, a Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.-based sweetener supplier, and Ingredion Incorporated, a Westchester, Ill., provider of ingredient solutions, said they agreed to extend their relationship on a nonexclusive basis for three more years.
The company also is expanding its St. Louis facility.

Barry Callebaut USA LLC, Chicago, a manufacturer of chocolate and cocoa products, was granted a Temporary Marketing Permit (TMP) by the FDA, clearing the way to market ruby chocolate as chocolate in the United States.
The plant allows processors to test out the company’s freeze-drying technology.
