The Kroger Co., Cincinnati, announced the release of the latest version of its resource for helping food and beverage manufacturers and retailers navigate the next phase of the coronavirus pandemic.
The U.S. Dairy Export Council (USDEC) and the National Milk Producers Federation (NMPF), both based in Arlington, Va., said they applaud the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) for firmly rebuking the European Union’s (EU) protectionist dairy trade policies in its annual U.S. Special 301 Report, released on April 29.
For years, cottage cheese sat quietly on the shelf in the dairy case while other dairy products such as yogurt took over entire coolers with numerous brands, dozens of flavors and an assortment of packaging options.
The nonprofit innovation center established by Danone North America will award up to $90,000 to four selected teams.

Chobani LLC, Norwich, N.Y., announced the launch of Chobani Pantry — a new way to help heroes at local food banks who will be providing critical support to families in the weeks and months ahead during the COVID-19 pandemic.
DFA said it identified 30 communities across the country whose local food banks will receive funds to purchase much-needed dairy products.

The organizations sent a letter to President Trump on April 10.
