USDA announced that the Center for Dairy Research (CDR) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association (WCMA) were awarded $6.13 million to support continuation of the Dairy Business Innovation Alliance (DBIA), serving Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, South Dakota and Wisconsin.

Danone North America, headquartered in White Plains, N.Y., and Broomfield, Colo., said its Oikos Triple Zero brand is celebrating the National Football League (NFL) season kickoff with two new ads, starring New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley, as part of its “Stronger Makes Everything Better” campaign.
The offerings include Pumpkin Spice “almondmilk” and fall-flavored yogurts.

The collaboration kicks off the brand’s revamped “Gut Health Challenge,” as part of the larger A to Z campaign that boosts awareness about the gut’s link to wellbeing.

Activia, a brand of White Plains, N.Y.- and Broomfield, Colo.-based Danone North America, said it is continuing on its mission as a modern gut health innovator by bringing to life a new collaboration with Daybreaker — the global morning dance movement and wellness community — and actor, producer and philanthropist Nina Dobrev.
The brand will donate 100 meals to Feeding America for each tagged post of a cheesecake on Twitter.

July 30 is National Cheesecake Day, and Philadelphia cream cheese is launching a fundraiser that makes supporting a good cause as easy as making a cheesecake.
Trimona Foods, Port Jefferson, N.Y., said it introduced a line of superfood yogurts. The new products are "Protect" (acai and beets), "Refresh" (matcha and maca) and "Revive" (turmeric and ginger).
The creamery is best known for its World Championship 4% small curd cottage cheese, and an external silo wrap will help emphasize this prestigious recognition.

Westby Cooperative Creamery said it is giving its 6,280-gallon silo on Main Street in Westby, Wis., a facelift by wrapping it to look like a giant cottage cheese container.
