The World Dairy Expo Championship Dairy Product Contest auction raised $30,029. The contest was sponsored by the Wisconsin Dairy Products Association. A portion of the auction proceeds will be used to fund the Dr. Robert L. Bradley Scholarship, Wisconsin Dairy Products Association Scholarship, MATC Culinary Foundation Scholarship, which will be awarded annually to deserving students pursuing, careers in the dairy industry.

A premium line of artisanal cheeses by the Denmark-based dairy cooperative Arla Foods will be sold in high-end restaurants in New York City this autumn. The cheeses will be launched under Arla's Castello brand as Unika by Castello.

The Specialty Food Association presented its sofi awards yesterday at a red-carpet ceremony in New York hosted by internationally acclaimed chef Marcus Samuelsson. There was a tie for the best new product. The winners are Artisan Biscuits Ltd.'s The Fine Cheese Co. Pearls of Pure Goats' Cheese and Point Reyes Farmstead Cheese Co.'s Point Reyes Bay Blue.
