ProAmpac, Cincinnati, a global flexible packaging company, said its Auburn, Wash., facility was awarded Level 2 food safety management certification by the Safe Quality Food (SQF) Institute. SQF is an organization recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative, as well as by retailers and foodservice providers around the world that require a rigorous, credible food safety management system.
Auburn is ProAmpac’s 14th facility to be recognized with food-quality certification and its eighth manufacturing facility to be certified to SQF Level 2, the company said.
“ProAmpac continues to focus on providing customers with high-quality products they expect. The SQF certification for Auburn now offers our West Coast customers a regional fulfillment option,” said Tom Geyer, president of ProAmpac’s U.S. Flexibles Division.
Rob Manning, vice president of quality for ProAmpac, said the Auburn SQF certification is a milestone,and the company plans to attain additional SQF facility certifications throughout the remainder of 2018.
