Fage introduces new FruYo, Greek yogurt blended with fruit
Greek yogurt company Fage, Johnstown, N.Y., released a brand new line FruYo, which contains pieces of real fruit folded into its Total 0% yogurt.
The new blended yogurt is available in seven flavors: pineapple, peach, blueberry, cherry, vanilla, strawberry and raspberry. The yogurts are nonfat, and contain 140 calories and 14 grams of protein per 6-ounce serving container (the vanilla flavor contains 15 grams of protein). The suggested retail price is $1.39 to $1.49 per container.
This is the first blended yogurt for the company, which started a national TV campaign this fall featuring Chef Bobby Flay in the commercials. Fage, in addition to its TV campaign, updated its website with a whole interactive recipe section. The site features Flay in recipe videos demonstrating how to cook with Fage’s yogurt.
