Wallaby Organic, an Australian-inspired, slow-crafted premium yogurt from Certified B Corporation Danone North America, announced the launch of the Wallaby Culinary Dream Contest to empower chefs who dream of opening their own culinary business.
Judging was held Aug. 17-19 at the MATC Culinary Arts School in Madison, Wis.

This year’s contest, sponsored and conducted by the Middleton, Wis.-based Wisconsin Dairy Products Association (WDPA), received a near-record number of entries (1,400) for cheese, butter, fluid milk, yogurt, cottage cheese, ice cream, sour cream, sherbet, cultured milk, sour cream dips, whipping cream, whey and other creative/innovative products from dairy processors throughout North America, WDPA said.
Finalists will compete for over $22,000 in prizes for innovative use of California dairy.

The competition, which will award prize money totaling $22,500 for creative use of California cheese and other dairy products in off-premise dishes, will culminate with a live cook-off event July 28 at the Culinary Institute of America’s Copia facility in Napa, Calif.
The 2021 contest will include 93 different dairy product categories.

Wisconsin Dairy Products Association (WDPA), Middleton, Wis., said it will be sponsoring its 18th annual World Dairy Expo Championship Dairy Product Contest this year.
The company will be awarded $200,000 to help bring a snack-sized version of its hidden-veggie ice cream to market.

Peekaboo Organics' ice cream featuring hidden vegetables was named the grand prize winner on Nov. 20 in the Real California Milk Snackcelerator dairy snack innovation competition, created by the Tracy, Calif.-based California Milk Advisory Board (CMAB) and VentureFuel, New York.
His recipe was inspired by San Francisco’s Iconic Fisherman’s Wharf.
