In a Morning Consult poll conducted Dec. 4-7 for the International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA) among a national sample of 2,200 adults, 71% of respondents across political affiliations and age groups said they support companies and employers partnering with public health agencies at local and state levels to aid in the distribution of the coronavirus vaccine to employees.
The 2020-2025 Dietary Guidelines for Americans (DGAs) are due to be released this December. Throughout the multi-year process to develop the DGAs, the International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA) and other dairy organizations and dairy companies have submitted written comments
They urge prioritization of vaccination among population groups, including critical infrastructure employees, which include the food, agriculture, manufacturing and retail industries.

A Nov. 11 letter signed by the Washington, D.C.-based International Dairy Foods Association and 14 other food industry groups encourages the Trump administration to put in place a federally orchestrated vaccine distribution program once a vaccine for COVID-19 is developed and approved.
The dairy industry has been facing a variety of challenges this year, most notably, the COVID-19 pandemic. Dairy Foods asked the top executives of leading dairy associations to discuss the industry's more significant issues, as well as its greatest opportunities.
Year to date, the United States is on track to break $6 billion in dairy exports this year, IDFA President and CEO Michael Dykes said.
