Danone North America, headquartered in White Plains, N.Y., and Broomfield, Colo., added two flavors to its Two Good Greek lowfat yogurt line: Raspberry and Mango Hibiscus.
Like all other food categories, the yogurt market is creating new products to attract more consumers. Although there is no definition for these "specialty yogurts," they typically reflect trends found in many other food categories, including international styles, indulgent and botanical flavors, added protein and fiber, sugar reduction, artisanal recipes and more.

Icelandic Provisions announced the rollout of its first national advertising campaign created, in part, to answer the questions: “What is skyr?” and “How do you say the word 'skyr?'”
The company will award two $25,000 grants to graduate students interested in exploring the gut microbiome, probiotics and yogurt and their role in maintaining health and wellness.

Norwich, N.Y.-based Chobani launched Chobani Greek yogurt with oatmeal. The wholesome, hearty product line pairs the nutrient density and probiotic benefits of the company's Greek yogurt with satisfying whole grains, offering 4 grams of fiber per cup, Chobani said.
Clio Snacks, Roselle, N.J., introduced Clio Greek yogurt Minis. Made from Greek yogurt with live and active cultures and boasting a creamy cheesecake texture.
The national campaign debuts on Jan. 6 with a commercial starring Ares, who shakes things up with unconventional marketing tactics.

Oikos, a White Plains, N.Y.-based brand of Danone North America, said it is unveiling "Possibly the Best Yogurt in the World," a campaign that entertains audiences and celebrates the Greek yogurt's delicious taste and texture.
Hiland Dairy, Springfield, Mo., introduced new fruit and probiotic smoothies. The drinkable yogurts are packaged in 7-ounce bottles, offering tasty nutrition on the go, the company said.
