Benexia launched Seeds of Wellness Chia Milk, a plant-based milk made from whole chia seeds.
The product debuted exclusively in select Costco locations across California (LA region), Washington, Oregon, Montana, Idaho, Utah, Alaska, and Hawaii as well as nationwide on Amazon.
"Chia Milk from Seeds of Wellness stands apart from other plant-based milk options with its exceptional quality, health attributes, and environmental stewardship," the company stated.
Each 8-ounce serving delivers 740 mg of plant-based omega-3 fats, 4 times more fiber than other almond or oat milks, and 3 times more protein than leading rice milks, with no added sugar, the company noted. The Chia Milk has 25 calories per serving.
Seeds of Wellness Chia Milk is excellent for smoothies, lattes, iced coffee, tea, baking, cereals, and more. It's offered in Original, and will soon be available in Vanilla, the company notes, and is gluten-free, soy-free, and nut-free.
"We are chia experts. We grow chia, we study chia, and we harness the nutritional power of chia to deliver wholesome products that we believe consumers deserve," said Sandra Gillot, CEO and Co-Founder of Benexia. "We looked at the best milk alternatives on the market and asked ourselves how we could elevate options for consumers. From seed to shelf, every aspect of Seeds of Wellness Chia Milk is designed with human and planet health in mind."
