PRESSURE SENSOR READINGS

Baumer’s PP56H fully welded pressure sensor with touchscreen for hygienic applications is ideal for pressure readings across the filter, the company says. Highlights include resistance to all common clean-in-place (CIP) cleaning media, a condensate-proof measuring cell, IO-Link dual channel output, and space-saving installations from DN 25 on. The unit also features easy parametrization via display, IO-Link and FlexProgram, as well as a rotatable display with 28 steps over 315 for threaded pressure connections.

PROGRESSIVE CAVITY PUMP

The HiCone progressive cavity pump from Vogelsang was recently launched in North America and features a patented adjustment system for extending service life. Designed for the demands of wastewater and industrial applications, its conical rotor and stator and easy-to-adjust dial far outperform older adjustment concepts that require external pressing and squeezing, the company says. This design extends service life by compensating for wear gaps during operation. Instead of costly, time-consuming parts replacement, the HiCone can be simply and quickly re-adjusted, increasing its service life many times beyond conventional technology. The HiCone's smart adjustment system adapts to various pressures and temperatures, minimizing wear and energy use.

WASTEWATER TREATMENT

From large local farms to corporate dairy producers, Xylem offers leading technologies to address water and wastewater treatment requirements, it says. Dairy production wastewater can contain suspended solids and whey as well as fat, oil and grease (FOG) concentrations. Making wastewater compliant can include the company’s Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) systems to remove the solids, followed by further treatment using its media filtration solutions prior to discharge. The company’s anaerobic digestion solutions are effective for treating high-strength wastewater while generating biogas for green energy. In either case the water can be treated for reuse, reducing demand of source water, and the effluent can meet or exceed compliance requirements.
