Lactalis introduced Président Leerdammer Swiss-Gouda Style Cheese, which is "irresistibly smooth, mild, and nutty." Made with a unique Dutch recipe our cheese is crafted from milk coming from pasture-raised cows in Holland. Leerdammer comes from the municipality of Leerdam, where its first cheese factory was founded. It is available in wheels and exact weight wedges in resealable packages.
Lactalis also added a "decadent and delicious" new way to enjoy sheep's milk: Le Braison, a creamy ewe's milk best served hot. Le Braison is made in France in the region of the Grands Causses, the same region our Société Roquefort comes from.
“We are excited to continue to expand our world-renowned product lineup with two exceptional specialty cheeses that can make any day feel like an occasion," said Debbie Seife, assistant marketing director for Président. "This fall, we will present Président Leerdammer, a unique blend of Swiss and Dutch Gouda styles imported from Holland. Alongside it, our newly launched Le Braison, a refined sheep milk cheese from France served hot is available. These new offerings exemplify our dedication to bringing innovative and high-quality products to our customers and consumers."
