Ahead of Valentine’s Day, Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream is once again celebrating Ice Cream for Breakfast Day with the launch of its limited-time offering of Banana French Toast Pints and celebrating in scoop shops across the country with brand-new French Toast Waffle Cones, giveaways and more.
Ice Cream for Breakfast Day was born on a cold and snowy February morning in the 1960s when Florence Rappaport’s six children were exceptionally bored, and looking to cheer them up, Florence declared it “Ice Cream for Breakfast Day.” The Jeni’s team, who strongly believe ice cream should be enjoyed before noon, have taken this small family tradition and swept the nation, bringing joy and fun to a mundane February morning.
On February 3, Jeni’s will not only open it’s scoop shop doors early at 9 a.m., (local time), but the brand has a lot in store for their hallmark holiday:
• Limited-edition Banana French Toast: This breakfast-inspired flavor featuring banana custard, Butternut Mountain maple syrup and cinnamon-brown sugar french toast gravel (made on-site at Jeni’s Columbus kitchen) - will be available in scoop shops on 2/3 and will drop online on 1/29, so folks can order for arrival by Saturday
• ICFBD collection: Banana French Toast will also feature in Jeni’s new Ice Cream for Breakfast Day Collection, available for online purchasing on Jan. 29. Additional flavors include: Brambleberry Crisp, Coffee with Cream & Sugar, Maple Soaked Pancakes, Milkiest Chocolate and Skillet Cinnamon Roll.
• Brand-new French Toast Waffle Cones: Jeni’s will transform their signature Buttercrisp Waffle Cones into brand-new, special French Toast Waffle Cones, only available in scoop shops from 9:00 a.m. to noon on Feb. 3.
• Banoffee: On Feb. 3, Jeni’s will launch its Banoffee L’affogato at scoop shops nationwide. Featuring two half scoops of Banana French Toast topped with Slingshot cold brew, Jeni’s fans will also have the opportunity to enjoy this delight in a limited-time-only Jeni’s mug for an extra $5.
• Other Specials: Alongside the LTO mug, Jeni’s will have kids’ activity sheets, stickers, and ICFBD yard signs folks can pick up at scoop shops to pledge their allegiance to Ice Cream for Breakfast Day.
