Northeast Dairy Foods and Suppliers Associations announce the appointment of Alex E. Walsh as executive director.
Walsh, of Camillus, N.Y., will oversee the day-to-day operations of the association, as well as the governmental, public and industry relations on behalf of the membership. He will serve as the fifth executive director in the association’s 95-year history.
Prior to being appointed by Northeast Dairy Foods and Suppliers Associations, Walsh was employed in the private sector managing communications, marketing, and government relations. Walsh initially joined Northeast Dairy Foods and Suppliers Associations in 2018 as director of communications and membership, and then served as associate vice president of Regulatory Affairs from 2020 to 2021. Walsh gained his governmental and public relations experience as a legislative aide to retired New York State Sen. John A. DeFrancisco, as a public information officer for Onondaga County, and as an account manager for a Syracuse-based marketing firm.
“Alex will bring a wealth of industry knowledge and experience to the position,” said Daniel Lausch, president of the Northeast Dairy Foods Association Board of Directors. “We look forward to his leadership and continuing the outstanding work the association does on behalf of dairy processor and manufacturer members.”
