The Food Processing Suppliers Association (FPSA) and its members raised more than $120,000 during the 2023 FPSA Auction held on March 8. Proceeds from this important event go to fund the six worthwhile causes sponsored by FPSA’s vertical industry councils.
“This year we had a tremendous turnout of members at the Auction Banquet, far exceeding our expectations,” said Bob Campbell, Chairman of the Association’s “Giving Back & Auction Task Force” and vice president of Operations – Duravant. “FPSA members stepped up in a big way, first to donate a record number of items to be included in the Auction, and then to attend the event and generously bid on these same donations. This generated significant resources for the groups we work with and the communities that they serve.”
“This year’s event was not just an entertaining event, it had a purpose that you could truly feel,” said Brian Perkins, FPSA Chairman and president of Provisur Technologies. “These efforts go to create new educational opportunities via scholarships for the meat and dairy industries; to university research in food processing; support of veterans suffering from PTSD; training and employment for the underserved; and finally, to provide clean drinking water in American homes. We could not be prouder of the efforts of our members in making an impact on people that need assistance. This year’s event truly set a high bar for next year’s Auction, one that our Councils are already discussing how to exceed.”
The 2024 FPSA Auction is scheduled to take place on March 27, 2024, at the FPSA Annual Conference at the Renaissance Esmeralda Resort in Indian Wells, Calif. Registration for the Conference will open in December of this year.
