So Delicious Dairy Free, a brand of Broomfield, Colo.- and White Plains, N.Y.-based Danone North America, unveiled a new line of “creamy, dreamy” dairy-free frozen desserts that are so good, consumers won’t believe they’re not from a cow, the brand says.
So Delicious Dairy Free says it is “scooping up” the traditional ice cream crowd with Wondermilk, its new line of dairy-free frozen desserts that was created by flavor visionaries and made for dairy-lovers who have yet to discover just how delicious dairy-free can be — until now. Full of creamy, daringly dreamy deliciousness, the new frozen desserts are crafted with a unique blend of dairy-free ingredients specially designed to deliver on key attributes of traditional dairy such as the sweetly balanced taste and creamy texture. The “wonder” of Wondermilk comes to life when consumers grab a spoon and dig into an out-of-this-world experience, the brand adds.
So Delicious Wondermilk frozen desserts are available in five pint flavors and two sundae cone flavors — all of which are Certified Vegan and Non-GMO Project Verified. The So Delicious Wondermilk frozen dessert pints come in Buttery Pecan, Vanilla, Chocolate Cocoa Chip, Cookies & Crème and Strawberry varieties. The frozen sundae cones are offered in Salted Caramel and Vanilla Peanut varieties.
“Let’s face it, people are still skeptical about dairy-free alternatives, especially when it comes to ice cream,” says John Starkey, president of plant-based food and beverages for Danone North America. “We asked ourselves if we could do something revolutionary — transform the right blend of dairy-free ingredients to create deliciousness that rivals the rich and creamy attributes of dairy ice cream. Our dedicated team worked tirelessly to capture that magic, and now So Delicious Wondermilk is raising the bar for the entire dairy-free frozen dessert category, further disrupting the shelves as the brand has done for more than 30 years.”
In addition to the new frozen desserts, the brand previously released So Delicious Wondermilk, a smooth, creamy dairy-free beverage made with a blend of smooth oats, creamy coconuts and soy. The beverages are available exclusively at Whole Foods stores and are ideal for one’s favorite recipes, a morning latte or to enjoy on its own, the company says.
Wondermilk frozen desserts are available in grocery stores nationwide for a suggested retail price of $5.49 per pint, while a box of three cones retails for $5.49. A 59-ounce carton of Wondermilk beverages is available exclusively at Whole Foods Market beginning in May.
