Dairy processor HP Hood LLC, Lynnfield, Mass., said it its CEO and chairman, John A. Kaneb, passed away peacefully on Aug. 29, surrounded by family, following complications from heart surgery in spring.

John Kaneb was a successful businessman, a renowned philanthropist and a caring family man who affected the lives of so many with his wisdom, his empathy and his generosity, HP Hood said.
