On Aug. 4, the Cleveland Indians announced a new partnership with Perry’s Ice Cream Company Inc., Akron, N.Y. The partnership is a four-year deal through 2023, Perry’s said.
As part of the partnership, Tribe fans will get to experience Perry’s Ice Cream at Progressive Field when they are allowed to return to the ballpark. Until then, fans will be able to connect with the brand after select Cleveland Indians victories on Instagram and Facebook as part of the “Sweet Taste of Victory” photo of the game.
“There is nothing better on a hot summer day than a scoop of ice cream to go with a Cleveland Indians victory,” said Ted Baugh , the Cleveland Indians’ vice president of corporate partnerships and premium hospitality. “We are thrilled to partner with a company that has been making moments sweeter for their customers for over 100 years and will continue to do that for fans with their ‘Sweet Taste of Victory’ posts when we win this season.”
As part of the partnership, Perry’s said it will work with the Tribe to develop a co-branded ice cream flavor that will be available for purchase at the ballpark and in stores around Northeast Ohio.
“Teaming up with the Indians for our first official sponsorship in Cleveland is an honor,” said Perry’s President and CEO Robert Denning. “As the Perry’s brand broadens expansion into Ohio, this partnership continues our commitment to be part of the communities we do business in. Today, we celebrate bringing the Perry’s ‘good stuff’ to the Indians fan base!”
The Indians will join a number of other entertainment partners of Perry’s, including the Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Sabres, Columbus Blue Jackets, Columbus Clippers and Syracuse Athletics.
