Wooster, Ohio-based Green Field Farms said it is adding homogenized milk in whole and 2% varieties to its family of Green Field Farms products in glass bottles this month. The products are still low-temperature vat-pasteurized, but the cream does will not rise to the top like in other of the company’s products.
According to Green Field Farms, consumer feedback led it to make these additions. The products will be available in Whole Foods Markets in the mid-Atlantic region, as well as in other small- to medium-sized grocery chains throughout the Northeast. The milks have a suggested retail of $5.99 per bottle, with an additional $2.00 returnable bottle deposit.
Green Field Farms said it also is adding heavy whipping cream and half & half to its glass-bottled products. The products will have a soft launch in April and a hard launch in June. Both products are low-temperature vat-pasteurized; the heavy whipping cream is non-homogenized, and the half & half is homogenized.
According to Green Field Farms, the heavy whipping cream and half & half will have the same distribution as the cooperative’s new milks. The heavy whipping cream has a suggested retail price of $5.99 per bottle; the half & half has a suggested retail price of $3.99.
