Organic Valley, La Farge, Wis., introduced the first organic thick-cut off-the-block shredded cheeses to the marketplace. The line is available now in five organic varieties, including mozzarella, 3 Cheese Italian, 3 Cheese Mexican, mild cheddar and sharp cheddar. Organic Valley said its thick-cut shredded cheeses offer consumers a cheesier flavor, better cheese pull and a gooier melt. The cheeses are available in 6-ounce bags/12 units per case; they have a suggested retail price of $5.49.
