Belle Chevre, Elkmont, Ala., added Garden Veggie and Roasted Red Pepper flavors to its lineup of chevre cream cheeses. Belle Chevre said the Garden Veggie flavor is made with a medley of vegetables — including carrots, onions and tomatoes — that lend a fresh garden taste to the tang of the cream cheese while adding textural pieces to its creamy texture. The Roasted Red Pepper cream cheese is made with red pimiento peppers and is mild and slightly sweet in flavor. Belle Chevre’s full line of all-natural goat’s milk-based cream cheese has less fat, less cholesterol and 2.5 times more protein than regular cream cheese.
