One startup will receive a $1 million grand prize.
Food and ag startups with growth potential are invited to submit their entries into the Grow-NY competition. The new $3 million global food & agriculture business competition is being led by New York State’s Empire State Development and Cornell University’s Center for Regional Economic Advancement.
Up to 20 finalists will be selected later this summer to compete for several levels of start-up funding — including a $1 million grand prize to be awarded in November, the program’s organizers said. Startup firms may apply from literally anywhere around the world, but they must be prepared to operate or do business within the New York region for at least 12 months to qualify. The deadline for entry is July 15.
