The American Dairy Products Institute (ADPI) said is now accepting nominations for its 2019 Award of Merit. The award, established in 1991, recognizes individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to the processed dairy products industry and without whom the industry would not be where it is today.

Persons wishing to make a recommendation for this year's award should consider their nominee's role in promoting the use of processed dairy products. Any significant contribution to the industry in the area of product development, marketing or promotion, manufacturing, technological advances, equipment, packaging, transportation, storage or trade, or any other innovation, as well as participation in related industry organizations, may be taken into account when nominating an individual for the Award of Merit, ADPI said.

The recipient of the Award of Merit will be honored at the 2019 ADPI/ABI Annual Conference luncheon on Monday, May 6, at the Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile in Chicago.

Letters of nomination, along with a completed Award of Merit Nomination form (downloadable here), should be sent to the American Dairy Products Institute, 126 N. Addison Ave., Elmhurst, IL 60126. Entries should include the name of the person making the recommendation, the name and company of the candidate, and a brief description of his or her career contributions to the dairy industry, ADPI said. Nominations must be received by Monday, April 1, 2019.
